The tail of the fireball was a different color than the fireball itself (orange-yellow-light blue) though it was fairly sharp and conical. I cannot speak accurately on the length of the tail. The fireball did not appear particularly large from my frame of reference.

The fireball came across my windshield for a couple of seconds before going basically completely dim and then a split second later I saw several (much, much dimmer) and significantly smaller fragments glowing a very difficult to see but visible dim light blue.
