Remarks On Saturday night around 10:35 or so I was sitting in my living room when all of the sudden my whole living room was lit up. When I looked out the window and looked up near the top of my aspen tree which is in the southeast corner of my backyard, I saw a very bright light. At first I thought it was a police helicopter shining their spotlight in my backyard that’s how bright it was. Then it was gone and I saw a few sparks coming down so I thought one of my neighbours had lit some fireworks. When I went to my back door to check and see if my neighbours were outside (they were not) that’s when I heard a loud boom. The house shook a little too. The thud was like someone had jumped off my roof and the sound was like a gun shot or explosion. I thought then that maybe something exploded at the refineries outside of Sherwood Park. I had no idea that it was an actual meteor until my brother sent me an article he read on Sunday. It’s pretty amazing that I got to witness something like this.
