Observer
Name Doreen L
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks We didn't see the actual fireball but my husband had just stepped out to feed the horses so got a good sense of the direction by the way the sky lit up. Then the smoke trail confirmed that direction.

Remarks Two minutes after the sky lit up there was a huge boom that travelled from east to west. Somewhat like thunder, drawn out over about 3 seconds and building to the final boom that shook the house. A post from people south of us near Camrose reported hearing a hissing that made them look up to see the fireball, then the sonic boom two minutes later. Friends near Lindbrook and Ardrossan reported house shaking as well.

Remarks We didn't notice it until about 10 minutes after and it was about half a fist wide (at arms length) and slowly dissipating. It looked like whispy smoke.
