Remarks | I did not see the end or movement of the object, and only think that it was a meteor because I read about it two days later in the Boston Globe, and said, that must have been a meteor. If it was moving (the Globe said it was moving slowly), it must have been toward me, slightly turning so that the shape became less round and slightly more oblong. |

Remarks | I was inside my apartment looking out windows facing Northwest, some tops of nearby rooftops visible. I am relatively inexperienced observer. I was amazed at what looked like glowing bright rounded flat object in sky with bright red spots on the right side, thinking this looks like an object from outer space, not like space lab in shape, odd, brilliant, almost as from a movie. I thought about trying for a photo, but then as it developed shadows on right side and seemed to turn, even with red visible, I thought perhaps it was the Hood dirigible which is often above Fenway Park, and unfortunately, did not take a photo (camera out of reach), and stupidly convinced myself that it was a dirigible, even though much more brilliant, and that the red must be lettering, even though at first they were bright red spots. |
