Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It was at first a bright light that as it came closer had a well defined bright tail behind the large bright circle. There was a space between the bright large circle and the elongated tail behind it. It was yellow but to our eyes seemed to have a bit of a fringe at the back of the circle in front of the tail. It went at a shallow angle from our right to left as we saw it, rather slowly, and then just seemed to disintegrate in a poof. We thought someone had let out a flare of some kind. But figured it could have been a meteor. It did seem very unusually low in the sky and lasted for longer than the shooting stars we have seen before. Seemed to die quite close to where we were standing on the road.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks It just seemed to break up into pieces with a sudden flash, with perhaps black smoky stuff....not sure though as the breaking up happened rather fast compared to its journey in the sky.
