Remarks I'm 58 years old and that was the largest fireball I've ever seen. It lasted 3 seconds. Head was hot white with an orange mane flowing behind it into a tail (longer than most) that was aqua blue and greenish. .. became greener just before disappearing. First one I've ever seen with that much color. Beautiful. It was traveling north.. which I found curious at this time of year. I'm an RN. My sense ot time (3 secs) is probably right on the money because judging time is something I do every day.. in healthcare seconds count! I rarely use email anymore but will try to check it more frequently for a month if more info may be needed. Waiting to see if this shows up on local news.. someone may have caught it on surveillance cam and I'll ask the administration at work to look at the video surveillance tapes of the parking lot. Something might show up on them. I am very sure it was traveling north.. I was facing NW when I saw it. Poor observation conditions (low lying fog and light pollution) but I could still see it very well, even though the brightest stars are barely visible in this parking lot on the most clear nights year round.
