This sighting was no shooting star. I have seen many and several meteor showers. I've only seen one fire ball before over 30 years ago. It was really cool to see one again!

Remarks
It appeared that the fireball hit an invisible force and exploded and disappeared. I assumed it hit the earth's atmosphere?
Fragmentation
Observation
Yes
Remarks
When it exploded, it appeared to split into two directions and became larger in that split second before disappearing. It also left a light or fire trail that disappeared just as quickly.
