I have seen many meteors because I do a lot of night driving throughout New England. This was the only time I've seen anything like this - brilliant neon green right in front of us as we drove. Long tail and so bright I thought I was seeing a reflection in the windshield. (We had seen quite a number of very bright blue flashing lights on this night - this was way brighter.) I was a passenger in the front seat. The person driving said, "That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Such a great experience!

Remarks
Glowing green train was quite long. Fireball went out of view behind a hill, so train was the last I saw. Maybe not the same thing the question is asking.
