I was sitting inside beside some large picture windows and I looked over to my right and saw the fireball moving across the sky. The whole event occurred during the time it took me to say "Oh my goodness - what … is ...THAT?!?" And then my husband who was sitting next to me looked over but it was gone! (We live between the JFK and LaGuardia airports so my initial thought was it could have been a plane breaking up but the colors were so amazing and the shape didn't look like a plane so I realized it was more likely a meteor.)
