Reports Report 3151ef (Event 3151-2019)

Observer
Name Robert D
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I have seen meteors or "shooting stars" previously in my life a handful of times. They have always been quite high in the sky and always an orange, yellow or white color and much more of a quicker"flash". This was the largest, closest, longest duration and most vivid one I have ever seen.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks A large blue ball with a white exterior along with a streak or tail that looked like a firework. But it definitely was not a firework. It seemed very low in the sky from my perspective. It was moving fast and happened pretty quickly but I saw it for a good amount of time. I was listening to headphones when it happened, so I did not hear if there was noise. I was running on the boardwalk and stopped and asked a few others if they saw it. They said yes they did and we all said that we have never seen something so amazing.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The blue ball flashed as it moved through the sky and I saw large "sparks" or fragments I believe splintering off of the large ball as it moved through the sky
