Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I saw the clouds light up and initially mistook the flash for lightning and then looked up to see the meteor streaking across the sky for about 1 second before breaking apart. It was only visible for about 1 additional second after fragmenting.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks After the flash I looked up to see the meteor falling for about 1 second before it fragmented. There were about 3 or 4 smaller fragments in addition to the larger main piece.
