Remarks | Well after it turned green from White, it just seemed to go out. No explosion. As I was looking in the direction of the Rising Sun and it was almost Twilight outside, I thought I could see a smoke Trail but I can't be sure. I think all in all it lasted about 7 Seconds. When I first saw it, it was white and I thought it was an airplane light, or a helicopter spotlight. It moved in a slight arc as it descended and after about two or three seconds it started to turn green until it extinguished a few seconds later. I was headed east in North Phoenix and it made me think that it landed in Northern Arizona or New Mexico, as it was quite large and looked like it was that close. Of course this is coming from a person who has no experience other than sighting a few fireballs in their lifetime. |

Color | It started out very bright like an oncoming airplane pointing its lights directly at me. It was a whitish color, but as it fell and just before it disappeared for the last few seconds it was Green. I think it lasted about 7 Seconds before the light exting |

Remarks | I can't be sure but I thought I saw a smoke Trail. Unfortunately I was driving on Carefree Highway at the time and I needed to watch the road more than the meteor. But since the traffic was almost non-existent, I could spend a little more time watching what I thought was a meteor than I normally would in traffic. This sighting was the clearest sighting I've ever seen of Fireball. Quite interesting. |
