Remarks | This was a daytime sighting. I initially thought it was a flare but the object was travelling downward at more the 65 degrees, approaching vertical. It also moved very quickly in an exact straight line and did NOT follow a ballistic trajectory. When I first saw the object it was already visible and had a \"streak\" of light behind it. It gradually became brighter for a second after I spotted it, then peaked just a fraction of a second before it disappeared. There were no objects separating from it, and it faded out very quickly without reaching the horizon. The object was in my sight for about 2 seconds and was not obscured at all from the time I spotted it to the time it faded out. |
