| Remarks | It was the brightest event in the night sky I have witnessed. (About 20 years ago I was watching a meteor shower with my children and we saw a very bright meteor, but it did not compare to this).Last night I shouted "WOW" and my husband looked up in time to see it going down 'behind the trees'. We live on the west side of a ridge and down a hill. Our house sits on a knoll facing east with tree across the road one tenth of a mile away. I was facing just a little north east as I got out of the car and saw the fireball. The fireball looked like it went down between the trees across the road because it didn't seem high enough to be over the ridge of the main road a quarter mile up hill from our house. However, there was no sound or explosion so it must have been playing tricks on our eyes about the depth it was away from our farm. It was a beautiful site. It happened so quickly that there was no time to get my cell phone and a picture. I was too amazed to move. |

| Color | Neon green bright ball with an orange-yellow streak (tail) behind it. It seemed to disappear into the trees across the road from our house, but we know that was impossible because there was no sound. |
