Reports Report 1775nx (Event 1775-2019)

Observer
Name Justine W
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I drive up this cloverleaf from northbound I95 onto westbound Route 198 every night and could not miss this addition to the night sky, right in front of me! As I progressed up the ramp, my view became obscured by trees and also because I was driving in a circle, and thus became turned away from the place I saw the streak. Although I have no astronomy observing experience, I do have 40+ years of intensely observing paintings, from Old Master to modern ones, because I preserve and restore them. So shapes and colors are very important to me. I didn't see a fireball on the front end; it was more like a long slender bullet overall. The "body" of this thing was a bright lime green with yellow along the perimeter. The tail was brilliant orange. Roughly half "body" and half tail. I hope this helps!
