Reports Report 1775o (Event 1775-2019)

Observer
Name Mara D
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks My friend and I were outside talking. She also witnessed it. I was able to run east approximately 40 ft around the end of the garage in time to see the meteorite disintegrate to give you an estimate of how long it was visible in the sky. The meteorite was bright enough to light up the sky and leave shadows. My friend initially thought it was an aircraft going down. I am estimating the time. I got into my car at roughly 23.10 EDT and saw the meteorite about 5 minutes prior. I've only seen dashcam videos of meteorites this bright before. I have never personally seen one this bright before.
