While traveling North on route one just prior to Dover Air Force Base, could see it above and to the right of the base. Sun had just barely created the horizon and the eastern sky was already a bright light blue. It was an awesome experience. That was only the third meteorite I've seen In the daylight. It almost made it to the ground before disintegrating. Very possible that several pieces did make it to the ground.
