The fireball was fairly large and low to the ground; about the level of an airplane preparing to land. At first I thought it was either part of an airplane that caught fire and was falling towards the ground or a missle. There seemed to be two bursts as it shot towards the ground and disappeared shorty after. It did not light up the entire sky, there was just a quick burst of light in the form of a fireball a few miles away as I was driving towards Ray Road on I-10. There was a crescent moon in the sky at the time.
