My wife and I witnessed this sky-event and agree that it was one of the brightest and most unusual colored ones that we have ever seen. The head of the object was much larger than the planet Venus and a bright, blue-green in color. Some low clouds were in the sky and much smoke from wild fires.

Remarks
As the object decended behind a low mesa the sky appeared to have several lighting flashes as in a thunder storm. The local sky had a lot of smoke from wild fires over the past three days.
