Remarks | This was a multicolored appearance. The meteor appeared at first like any bright meteor, but then it changed appearance: from a fine white ball to a broader blue streak, and then a brief broad red before it disappeared. From our vantage point it seemed to travel south to north without ever changing elevation. |

Remarks | Meteor changed color from white to blue to red, then disappeared. Shortly (a couple of seconds) afterward there was a faint double "whump". It was low-pitched and brief, like a mine blast heard from a distance. |
