Remarks I had my Apple Maps on at the time I was driving northeast on Hwy 97. Immediately after seeing the fireball I received a message on my phone indicating there was a hazard on the road 1.7 mi ahead. I’m suspecting it had something to do with what I saw falling from the sky. As I approached the marking on my phone, I never saw anything on the road or to the sides. I was concerned that whatever fell was going to start a forest fire but I saw no flames other than the object burning through the atmosphere on the way down. I’m not sure of the exact location on the map since it was at night but I calculated that it was approximately 40 miles south of Klamath Falls on Hwy 97 based on my odometer readings.
