Remarks | As we were driving east along the A6068, my partner saw an object in our 10 o\'clock, passing left to right, and I saw it from zenith til disappearance. Initially, it had all the appearance of a very large firework, but we quickly realised that it was likely to be meteor. We both commented on the fact that it seemed to be travelling much slower than normal \'shooting stars\', and estimate that it was visible for over 15 seconds. The object seemed to have a definite structure, with a distinct head, tail and trailing fragments. |
