Experience Level 5/5
Remarks I am an Astrophotographer (Blue Ridge Observatory - Sparta, NC) and was imaging NGC891 when the fireball flew right though my image frame #7 at 9:45pm DST. This meteor was witnessed visually as well by a astronomer friend of mine 50 miles away at the exact same time and same direction NNE to SSW. Very bright meteor! The frame I sent you is a JPEG of the #7 raw FITS file from my CCD camera in the observatory. It is the widest and brightest meteor I have ever seen on any of my images. It was so bright it actually caused a reflection inside the telescope/camera as seen in the image.
