Remarks This object had a bright well defined "head". The tail was just as bright, as wide as the "head" at the start and widened slightly toward the back. There was no tapering trail at the end.

Remarks I did not see a flash from the fireball. I saw a flash, like a distant lightning flash, almost immediately after the fireball dropped below the tree line. It COULD have been a coincidental lighning flash but the skies were very clear, perfect for stargazing (the reason for me being outside at that time).
