Remarks | The location I used in the survey is my approximate guess of where the incident occurred. My actual location was northwest of that position closer towards the i90 but still along the spokane river.I was inside at the time in a seated position, but a large window at 10ft spanning to 13ft allowed the perfect angle to catch the light. I tried to comprehend the flash by comparisons to lightning, plane crash, a firework or flare even a higher shooting star...none of these explanations were adequate. I really do feel this was likely a meteor as the speed and brightness seem to match my perception of the event. I’ve seen numerous meteor showers and shooting stars in my life and there is relatively low light pollution here. However, this would be my first time witnessing something of this intensity. I expected some sort of sound but heard none. Distance is hard to gauge, but out the window across the river is a small mountain and this seemed to be at the top of it but moving on my side (still hard to gauge) |

Remarks | The flash was bright blue fading to light yellow and orange train with smoke lingered behind briefly (the smoke longer than the orange train) however when the flash went dark and the orange faded there may still have been smoke for sometime, but without a sufficient light source I couldn’t verify how long it remained. |
