Remarks | I am an experienced airplane pilot, good at judging distances of airborne things. This was the closest meteorite that I have ever seen in my lifetime, seemed less than 2-3 miles away. Pretty. Was in car on Interstate. if it made a sound, I probably would not have heard it. It was surprisingly bright and very brief, got brighter toward the end, seemed to terminate before hitting the ground. |
