Remarks We saw over half a dozen large shooting stars in our location that night. The huge flash was very unusual. We thought it may have been a lightening strike but none were reported in the area.

Remarks We didn't see the "tail" but just a very bright huge flash with pieces falling. My son said it looked like a bright firework. Friends in Lone Pine also saw it.
