Remarks | I was driving towards the Sierra Nevada Mountain range (due east) when I saw the fireball and tail. I may have given the wrong angle in the sky but it appeared to be going towards the mountains from my left shoulder to right shoulder at a slight downward angle as if it were going to crash somewhere in peaks of Kings Canyon. it resembled a firework mortar with a shimmering multicolor tail, but obviously not a firework based on the trajectory, speed, and reaction. It was the biggest meteor or space junk I've ever seen so I went searching for it online a few minutes after I got home and came across your website. Hope this helps. |
