Remarks We were sitting on the back porch facing the lake enjoying the first big drop in evening temperatures in several weeks, observing Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Object flashed overhead at ~11:10pm CDT, with a really wide, rolling corona that lingered for a second. Passed almost perfectly from east to west in the southern sky, about 3/4 up from the horizon to vertical.
