Remarks | We were sitting on the back porch facing the lake enjoying the first big drop in evening temperatures in several weeks, observing Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Object flashed overhead at ~11:10pm CDT, with a really wide, rolling corona that lingered for a second. Passed almost perfectly from east to west in the southern sky, about 3/4 up from the horizon to vertical. |
