the location I marked on the map was approximate (I realize this is a significant detail). I was traveling north on I-89 at the time of the observation. I am trying to nail down precisely where I was based on additional investigative efforts (and hope to follow-up with details). I will also say that I'm not exactly sure what the requirements are to be marked a "fireball", but I have seen many meteorites over the years and have never seen any fragmentation before which led me to believe it was somewhat more substantial than your typical observation.
