Observer
Name Patrick M
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks May have been sound drowned by sound of fireworks. It is the 4th of July but this was not a firework. House is in dark neighborhood in hills and duration/ distance was similar to satellite, vibrant red color with little variation on brightness. Initial thought was space junk, but seemed too bright. Only doubt is little to no tail and disappeared before horizon or tree blockage from vantage point. More like 12 seconds in view when I retraced time.
