Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I see shooting stars regularly since I like to bike around sunset and coming back under the stars. This one was remarkable... Most awesome thing I saw in the last few years was first stage of Chinese rocket re entering go across the entire sky when I was up in Los Gatos mountains 2 or 3 years ago. What I saw way better than videos in the news.

Remarks It was greenish and breaking up so I saw pieces spread out over a short space.. not long. Not a glowing trail. It wasn't dark. Sunset was going on. I took a sunset picture at 8:48 in the direction of the sunset and the meteor was within 5 minutes of that and caught my eye. I was looking 30 or so degrees to the right where the sun sets.
Terminal flash

Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks trail a few degrees.. Not spread out. Got brighter, greenish, then all done. Sky was still lit some by sunset. Much bigger and brighter than most shooting stars.
