I have had the occasion to witness several meteors having spent many years driving in the dark, this was the brightest and most vivid with the longest trail I've witnessed

From my vantage point it appeared to have light fragmentation, bright bits were coming off the top and bottom (from my perspective) as it traveled and also appeared to be leaving behind glowing dots immediately behind it.
