Fireball was likely longer than two seconds. I saw only the fragmented pieces which may have been the second half of the fireball's duration. From when I saw it to when it vanished, it lasted about 2 seconds.

Remarks
Don't know if there was a flash - I saw it just as it appeared from the top of my car windshield. Considering it was already fragmented, it might have.
