Reports Report 697b (Event 697-2018)

Observer
Name Gary B
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It was about 6:18 pm The Sun was still bright enough in the sky. You couldn't see out into space as the sky was still bright. I was out in front of my house on the phone looking up and it appeared as clear as anything... and it caught me by surprise because it was at the beginning of Dusk and really not even dark yet. I saw it directly overhead moving from the North Northwest to the South Southeast. It appeared to my right at about 2 o'clock and moved from 2 o'clock to about 9 o'clock (Right to Left) and appeared to have burned out and went dark at the 9 o'clock point.... It had a minor vapor trail and was moving faster than any Flying object I've ever seen in the sky so, I knew it was not an airplane / jet. I've observed many fireballs throughout the years and I'm always out for the annual Meteor showers when they occur and weather permits so, I've seen and I'm aware of what a shooting Star / Fireball looks like.
