Remarks I noticed a bright concentration of light where I believe the Plieadies should be, (that was wrong), but it was still about not far away from the "feet" part of Orion the Hunter. I was out walking to the mailbox at the time. The nebular bright spot became more defined into a single point of light, with two trails streaming off of it, like a comet. This persisted so that it was about tw or so arc seconds in length. Then the point became a flash, and all of the trails, plus the flash began to diminish, like high altitude contrails do after the airliner is long gone. The whole event took place around one minute, to probably two minutes. Unfortunatly, the mailbox was too far away from the house for me to run back and get my camera in time. There was no noise at all. The whole sighting took place almost due south of my position in North West Las Vegas.
