Remarks I was driving in the northbound lane of I-57 when in my right peripheral vision I notice a flash. A falling star perhaps? I turned my head to the right (east) looked out the front passenger window, & see a streak of fire! Maybe it’s a flare?? But no it’s a ball of fire - bright red - with a conical shaped tail behind it. It’s going the same direction as I, until a curve in the road, and seems to be right outside the passenger window though I’m not really sure how far away from my car, 30 - 50 feet?? and traveling low to the ground at a slight angle. It seemed to hit the ground on the southeast edge of Thomasboro. It was an amazing sight to see!
