It was a dark clear night. I have never seen such a huge tail or such a experience last so long. We often enjoy meteor showers on the beach on Lake Huron. We were left in awe!

It had a long tail until the bright white flash, bright enough to see the colors of things around us even though the flash happened behind trees from where we were. It looked like a explosion in the distance.
