Remarks I did not see the actual fireball. Instead what I saw was what I believe to be fragmentation. I was traveling east on 31st street. I noticed a green light slowly moving to my left (north). The light was moving toward the earth and it looked like whatever caused the light would have hit the ground a few hundred yards from my location. The light looked like a firework (roman candle) that was descending rather than ascending toward the sky.
