We noticed the bright aqua blue light in the sky directly ahead of us as we were driving I-5 from Mt. Shasta toward Redding. At first we thought it was a planes lights then realized it wasn\'t blinking. Quite a large aqua blue glow (at least 4 times size of venus) traveling from left to right lasting approximately 5 seconds. It then disappeared either behind clouds or burned out. We have seen \'shooting stars\' streak across the sky but this was nothing like that. It seemed slower and much larger, closer and brighter which is why we initially mistook it for an airplane\'s light (we thought there would be a plane crash!) but when it didn\'t blink we realized it was a meteor. It seemed to just burn out once we realized what it was. Amazing. We have never seen anything like this before.

Remarks
it was cold and partly cloudy at the time of sighting so it had a \'fuzzy\' appearance around the object similar to \'moon glow\'. it is difficult to say if there actually was a train but if there was, it was relatively short because of the interference from clouds
