Remarks | I have witnessed the Perseid showers in August in Canada, but this was like something I have Never seen before! It was bright and low and had white-like smoke trailing from it as it fell to earth. We were looking to the west when it just appeared in our view. It was large, and we watched it for 2-3 seconds as it disappeared behind the San Jacinto mountains. We are in Palm Springs on a holiday. |

Remarks | It was a very bright white light with white-like smoke trailing behind. We watched it for 2 to 3 seconds and it disappeared behind the San Jacinto mountains. We were on our 2nd floor balcony looking west when it came falling into our view. We asked the people in the hot tub below us if they saw it, but they were looking the other way. It was an incredible sight. |
