Remarks | It was above the verdugo mountains, which are southwest-ish of where I was standing. Disappeared behind the mountains. I also saw another one a night or two ago, as I was driving south on the 2 fwy, a bout a mile before the mountain st. exit. It was less bright, by a value of about 1 on that chart. Started about 60 degrees above the freeway, with a downward trajectory, ending at about 50-55. No smoke, no fragmentation, brighter at the end of its path. It was so much bigger than a shooting star, I assumed it was some kind of military exercise. This was very late—between 1-3 in the morning. Hope this helps! |
