Remarks | Glowing train tapering from the larger foward end in the eastern Long Island NY sky at about 7:50 PM. Was moving from southern sky to northern sky, arcing downwards, lasting about 5 seconds...but I spotted it as I came outdoors...don\'t know how long it may have been visable before that. At first thought it was a shooting star, but it seemed to be moving much slower slower than that, and looked much closer to earth, seemed much larger (r closer) and lasted longer than all the shooting stars I\'ve seen (I am a camper and have seen quite a few). |
