Reports Report 4535b (Event 4535-2017)

Observer
Name Lance H
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It wasn't quite as big as a lot of what I'm seeing on the main page, but it was BRIGHT. It was almost straight up above me, and it came from the east. I happened to be looking up for an astronomy class assignment, and the ball appeared and disappeared within my field of view. It didn't disappear over the trees or anything. I listed the time as 12:10, but that's only an estimate. But it definitely wasn't earlier than midnight.

Remarks I saw pieces burning off of the main "ball", so that the entire thing looked similar to a flare. Regarding a persistent train, I saw a trail of smoke that disappeared almost immediately after the main ball disappeared.
