Reports Report 4038b (Event 4038-2017)

Observer
Name Fred L
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks Was driving home along the alleyway behind our condo. Noticed something bright (but out of view of my windshield. Fireball came into view for about 1-2 seconds. Seemed rather large and round probably about 1/2 the size of the moon, probably as bright as the 1/4 moon. There was some fragmentation that disappeared rather quickly. It didn't seem to be moving as fast a meteors from a meteor shower. It faded out without a burst of light. No associated sound and disappeared around 30-45 degrees above the horizon.
