started out with a brightness like a normal shooting star then intensified to an extreme bright white leaving a glowing train that dissipated but was still present after fireball went dark. Also noted that sky was overcast with no stars showing.

Did not really look like an explosion but the fireball grew in intensity to its brightest state and then went dark almost instantaneously.
