Reports Report 3823j (Event 3823-2017)

Observer
Name Katrina W
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was traveling north bound on route 95 leaving Waltham; at some point while merging on the highway was when I saw the object. I have seen meteor showers before, but nothing this large in appearance, bright, or consistent (usually from my experience they are must shorter in duration, not as bright, and directly overhead). Additionally, it was fairly low on the horizon - since I was driving it was not out of the perspective of my vehicle windshield (a 2017 Nissan Rogue). If I use the windshield as a tool, it entered from the upper right hand corner and faded out about mid windshield (in length and height). Certainly looked like it was lower and eventually burned out. The experience was long enough that I was able to talk to my passenger about it (Wow! Look at that! I have never seen something like that before! That is so cool!). If traveling north bound, the object appeared from what would be north east in direction, heading toward the high way.
