There was no noise. We had a spectacular view over the Indian Ocean and the picture of the smoke trail I've provided will hopefully give some info. The smoke trial lasted until full darkness.

I saw he sudden trail light up from right to left like a laser. The the centre exploded in an intense white flash and several red/orange fragments -3? - broke off and dissiapted. The photo is of the trail as the event was too fast to get a camera lined up on
