Reports Report 3490ax (Event 3490-2017)

Observer
Name LAURIE F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I don't know if this was a meteor. It was moving much faster than the typical aircraft. I saw no aircraft parts i.e. wings, but with the light getting low and the green blue light from the "fireball" being pretty bright, I don't know that I would have. I saw no tail so to speak and heard no booms. I was looking at its back end. I was driving and the radio was on but not loud. My timing is an estimate as is the direction in which I was looking. I suspect the time was between 6:40 and 6:50. I was heading west on 290 before crossing over Lake Quinsigamond. That part of the highway would have my car pointed in a west, southwest direction that would have changed it's angle a bit as I approached the lake. It was long gone before I got to the bridge over the lake. It came into view from behind, at the top of the windshield and reached the horizon just to the left of where I first saw it.
