Reports Report 991e (Event 991-2011)

Observer
Name Bruce
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks There was still plenty of natural light when we saw this one as it was just before 8:00 PM. We were driving north on Rte. 17 (on the highway through low flat coastal marshland) and watched the entire event through our car windshield right ahead of us. We have never seen a fireball so low in the sky. We were almost certain that the fireball would hit the earth but it exploded slightly above the horizon in front of us.
